True fact, I did 6 trade shows a year for the first decade of my career. That is 60 trade shows - every single one I attended (NYC, LOS ANGELES, LAS VEGAS, ATLANTA, CHICAGO). Now I travel worldwide from Paris, Dubai, London and more. I built the first BOY MEETS GIRL® studio in Union City, New Jersey, and had an office out of my apartment in NYC at the beginning of my career.
I had an office inside another office in the Garment Center. Then, I built a mini sample room/factory inside that office in the Garment Center expanding and never left. The Garment Center is my second home. My first desk was a cardboard desk. The first collection that shipped to Bergdorf Goodman - quality control was overseen by me and my mom, and then brought to our shipper by me and my now husband.
I was told many times that I was in the wrong direction. I was told many times that my brand was young. I was told many times I should do this over that.
