If you are an avid follower of Boy Meets Girl®, you will know that one of the core messages of the brand is remembering to give back. Through our Limited Edition collection, we are able to do this & create pieces that truly make a statement. From the Young Survival Coalition to BullyBust, Boy Meets Girl® has worked with many different groups and nonprofits since day one.
In a quote from Runway Riot, our #bosslady Stacy Igel stated: "I have been giving back since my first trade show. That show was right after 9/11. Some of my first shirts were donated to the American Red Cross to families in need after the 9/11 attacks. I have always been reactive to what is happening around us and giveback through the awareness of the brand."
Here is a press piece from when Boy Meets Girl®, formerly known as Deesh, introduced this collection after the September 11th attacks:
Igel also spoke with Allure Magazine, where they featured the Woman Crush Everyday Crop Sweatshirt in honor of International Women's Day, she stated: "Contributing to causes that can can help make a stand or help one in need gives me a sense of hope that others will follow and continue to show their support."
She continued by explaining, "Dedicating myself to other passions of mine allows me to take a step back and see the big picture. It allows me to slow down for a second to breathe and think, how can we make a difference today?"
With that being said, throughout the years Igel has continued to keep the Boy Meets Girl® voice alive in the cause circuit. If you want to make a statement the Boy Meets Girl® way, see a few styles that we have available here (click the image to shop):
